Two Arrested in Rupandehi with Brown Sugar Narcotics

Lumbini. The District Police Office Rupandehi has arrested two individuals possessing brown sugar narcotics. The narcotics were discovered during a search conducted by a joint team deployed from the Area Police Office Suryapura Rupandehi and the Narcotics Control Bureau Branch Office Bhairahawa at Gobdauri in Gaindahawa Rural Municipality, Rupandehi, informed Krishna Kumar Chand, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Information Officer at the District Police Office Rupandehi.

The narcotics were recovered from 34-year-old Jagdish Kurmi, a resident of Basantpur, Ward-1, Mayadevi Rural Municipality, and 31-year-old Mahesh Kurmi, a resident of Kusumhawa, Ward-4, Gaindahawa Rural Municipality, who were traveling from Lumbini towards Suryapura on motorcycle number Se 3 Pa 600, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Chand.

The police found 37 grams and 470 milligrams of brown sugar narcotics along with a digital scale during a search of the rooms where the arrested individuals resided. The police stated that the Area Police Office Lumbini has initiated further investigation against both arrested individuals.
