Kaski Constituency 2 Candidates Pledge Focus on Agriculture, Tourism, and Good Governance Ahead of Elections

Gandaki. Candidates for the upcoming House of Representatives election in Kaski Constituency No. 2 have collectively expressed a commitment to enhancing good governance alongside the development of agriculture and tourism.

During an interaction program titled 'Public with Candidates - Candidates with Public' organized on Wednesday by Bharatpokhari Development Forum, Pokhara Metropolitan City-33, with candidates representing various parties and independents from Kaski Constituency No. 2, they pledged to prioritize agriculture and tourism for the development of this area, along with good governance demanded by the new generation.

At the program, Hem Bahadur Thapa Parajuli, the candidate from the Nepal Communist Party, committed to prioritizing the establishment of a corruption-free society, an issue raised during the Janajagaran movement.

Deepak Bhandari, the candidate from the Progressive Democratic Party, stated that he would strive to simplify existing administrative hassles and make government services easily accessible and prioritized. Kushal Gurung, the candidate from the Ujyalo Nepal Party, mentioned resolving the existing waste management problem in Pokhara, the capital of tourism.

Khyambhadur Gurung, the candidate from the Nepal Janamukti Party, stated that the development of this constituency could be achieved through the development of agriculture and tourism. Independent candidate Bishnu Prasad Tiwari stated that issues such as the development of self-reliant agricultural enterprises would be prioritized, emphasizing the accessibility of education and reducing tax rates.

Seventeen candidates have registered their candidacy for this constituency. The Election Office, Pokhara, stated that there are a total of 84,134 voters in this constituency, with 97 polling stations.
