Army Bus Carrying Election Personnel Crashes in Bhojpur, Injuring 24

Kathmandu. A bus carrying a Nepali Army team deployed for elections in Bhojpur has met with an accident. The bus crash occurred on Wednesday in Setibagar, Bhojpur Municipality-3.

Twenty-four army personnel were injured in the accident. The District Police Office, Bhojpur, informed that the bus carrying the Nepali Army personnel met with an accident while heading from Bhojpur Municipality to establish a base camp in Temkemaiyung Rural Municipality for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21.

Police stated that the bus with registration number Na. 4 Kha 7317, carrying a team from the Srinath Battalion, was involved in the accident. Police also reported that eight seriously injured individuals were airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment by a Nepali Army helicopter.

There were 26 people aboard the bus, including the driver and co-driver.
