Lumbini Province Chief Minister Expresses Hope for National Unity Through Galpo Lhosar Festival

Butwal. Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chetanarayan Acharya expressed hope that Galpo Lhosar will further strengthen national unity by enhancing harmony, unity, and positive thinking among Nepali society.

Issuing a congratulatory message on the occasion of Galpo Lhosar, he wished happiness, peace, good health, and prosperity to all Nepali sisters and brothers residing at home and abroad. He mentioned that such festivals expand the spirit of mutual respect, tolerance, and cooperation in society.

Chief Minister Acharya stated that Galpo Lhosar is a major festival for Buddhists, noting that due to its cultural harmony, other communities also celebrate it with warmth. He said this puts the unity in Nepal's diversity into practice.

Mentioning that Nepal is a country endowed with multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, and multi-religious characteristics, he recalled that the constitution grants equal respect to all religions, traditions, and cultures. He stated that this inclusive practice is the basis for social stability and coexistence.

He mentioned that original arts, languages, and cultures are not only the basis of our identity but also important sources for tourism promotion and economic development. He expressed confidence that the preservation and promotion of such cultural festivals will further help establish Lumbini Province as an attractive destination for cultural tourism.

He stated that the active participation of the government, all communities, youth, women, entrepreneurs, and civil society is necessary for building a prosperous province. He clarified that sustainable development and inclusive prosperity are possible only by moving forward based on common goals and cooperation.
