Two Arrested in Kailali with Illegal Drugs

Kathmandu. Kailali Police have arrested two individuals in possession of illegal drugs. A joint police team deployed from the Ward Police Office, Dhangadhi, and the Narcotics Bureau arrested the two on Friday from the Mohanpur Chowk road section on the Attariya Highway.

The arrested individuals have been identified as 25-year-old Shambhu Bhatta, a resident of Bhimdatta Municipality-6, Kanchanpur, and 23-year-old Kavita Bhatta, a resident of Singas Rural Municipality-1, Baitadi. The Kailali District Police Office stated that 33 grams and 700 milligrams of brown heroin, one air gun, two mobile phones, and 65,000 rupees were recovered from them.

Police have stated that further investigation into the matter is underway.
