Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa Calls for Extensive Reforms in Public Transportation

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has stated that extensive reforms are necessary in public transportation.

President Thapa made this statement while releasing a video message on the social media platform Facebook on Friday.

Discussing the imperative to make public transportation safe, reliable, and organized, he mentioned that they are making concrete preparations for it.

He said, 'Hours of traffic jams, dust flying on the roads, and unsafe journeys are the problems of our public transportation. A system dependent on small and disorganized vehicles, unintegrated route permits and fare management, and the situation where working citizens in the capital cannot reach their offices on time. This means our public transportation requires extensive reform.'
