Sri Lanka Faces Oman in T20 World Cup Opener Amid Key Player Setbacks

Colombo. The 16th match of the T20 World Cup between Sri Lanka and Oman is being played today at the Pallekele International Stadium in Sri Lanka. The match will start at 11:15 AM. Notably, these two teams are facing each other for the first time in T20 cricket.

Sri Lanka has suffered a major blow ahead of the match. Star all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to injury. He sustained a left hamstring injury during the opening match against Ireland. Earlier, fast bowler Ishan Malinga was also ruled out of the tournament due to a shoulder injury.
