Planning Boys FC Reaches Budhasubba Gold Cup Final After Defeating Laligurans Association Pokhara

Sunsari. Planning Boys Football Club has entered the final of the ongoing 26th International Invitation Budhasubba Gold Cup Football Tournament in Dharan.

Planning Boys secured their spot in the final by defeating Laligurans Association Pokhara 2-1 in the match held at Dharan Stadium on Wednesday. Sikandar Siddiqui of Laligurans Football Club scored the opening goal in the sixth minute of the first half, giving his team the lead. In the 14th minute of the second half, William Alex of Planning Boys scored to equalize the game. Subsequently, in the 41st minute of the second half, Pratap Singh Rai of Planning Boys scored an additional goal to secure the victory.

Pratap Singh Rai of Planning Boys was declared the 'Man of the Match' for Wednesday's game. He was awarded a trophy, a certificate, and a cash prize of NPR 10,000. Chairman Pratap Tamang informed that the competition will feature a match between Jhapa-11, Jhapa and Church Boys United on Thursday. The winner of the tournament will receive a cash prize of NPR 1 million, and the runner-up will receive NPR 500,000. The organizers stated that the best player of the tournament will be awarded one Honda scooter.

Similarly, the 'Man of the Match' for each game will receive NPR 10,000, while the best goalkeeper, best defender, best midfielder, best striker, and best coach will each receive NPR 25,000, and the top scorer will receive NPR 35,000.

The final match of the tournament, which began on Magh 22, will be held on Falgun 2.
