Qatari Delegation Discusses Strengthening Bilateral Trade and Investment with IME Group in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. A delegation led by Mohad Ahmed M.A. Al Obaidli, a board member of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which is currently on a visit to Nepal, held detailed discussions on further strengthening bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation between Nepal and Qatar while being welcomed at IME Group on Tuesday.

On the occasion, IME Group Chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal provided the delegation with detailed information regarding the group's overall portfolio and investment expansion.

Chairman Dhakal informed about the investment expansion, available services, and cooperation opportunities that IME Group is undertaking in various sectors including remittance, banking, insurance, information technology, energy, tourism and hospitality, industry, trade, automotive, sports, and education.

Furthermore, he drew the delegation's attention to the significant investment potential in Nepal, noting that expanding investment in Nepal provides easy access to large markets such as neighboring China, India, and Bangladesh.

During their visit to Nepal, the delegation has been holding discussions with various government and private sector entities regarding economic relations between the two countries, banking and investment promotion, as well as bilateral investment and cooperation.
