Short Story Collection 'Premashru' by Bimala Dhungana Niroula Launched in Kathmandu

The short story collection 'Premashru' by writer Bimala Dhungana Niroula has been launched. The book was unveiled by Shreeom 'Rodan', Chairman of the Creators' Society, writer Krishna Bhusal, critic Prof. Dr. Yagyashwor Niroula, the author Niroula, and writer Pramod Pradhan at a special event in Kathmandu on Monday.

During the program, writer Bimala Niroula was also presented with the Milap Cover Honor. Singer Santosh Shrestha, writers Sita Pandey, Laxmi Upreti, Dr. Phanindraraj Niroula, and Basanta Bityasi Thapa, Chairman of the Songwriters' Association, offered congratulatory remarks.

Reviewing the work, Dr. Yagyashwor Niroula stated that most stories are related to love, featuring narratives set outside Nepal in America, as well as stories reflecting the lives of people in the Nepali context.

'Bimala has woven various aspects of society into a single work in the form of stories for the readers,' said Dr. Niroula. 'The customs and vices present in society are presented here in a simple yet profound and vividly expressive manner.'

Writer Pramod Pradhan mentioned that creator Bimala Niroula has been actively involved in social service alongside literary creation, highlighting her contributions to the Nepal Child Literature Society.

Creator Bimala shared that although she has written extensively on child literature, she is currently working across all genres, expressing optimism that her latest work 'Premashru' will win the hearts of readers.

This 200-page book, with typography by Kishor Gautam, includes 29 stories such as 'Pranay Prem, Prem ra Manavtako Khata, Premko Kshmadhan, Hurray!, Premiksha, Swapnil Prem, Atripta Prem, Prem Jeevan, Astayeko Prem, Prem Paiyan, Prem ra Aradhana, Aafaisangako Prem, Aparajit Prem, Premka Aansu, Prem Sankalpa, Prem Prastab, Premko Awashesh, Bhay, Sapana Kura, Teejko Rahar, Nari Diwas, Puraskar, Anischit Aayu, Premko Punarmilan, Mala ra Gala, Bhaladmi, Anuttarit Badhyata, Premil Sakura, Behaul Mama ko Batuk Bhanja'.
