New Industries Commence Operations in Hetauda Industrial Estate Amid Growth Trend

Hetauda. The number of industries establishing in the Hetauda Industrial Estate in Makwanpur has been increasing recently. In this sequence, two new industries have recently commenced operations in the industrial estate.

Information Officer Ramesh Raj Nepal of the Industrial Estate Management Office stated that Precious Oist Refinery Pvt. Ltd. started trial production from the first week of this Magh from a new industry that processes old electronic goods to produce new metals. He mentioned that an industry of this nature is likely operating for the first time in Nepal.

Similarly, Radhakrishna Synthetic Pvt. Ltd. has already started producing plastic sacks completely since last Kartik. According to Information Officer Nepal, Nepal Brewery, among the industries that have been closed for a long time, is preparing to operate within a few days with new management, and Tripura Industries is preparing to operate a tobacco industry as a new venture.

Information Officer Nepal further stated that Roto Printing Industry (printing on plastic) and Nobel Packaging have suspended production for the last few months, citing a lack of investment among the industries operating within the industrial estate. Currently, 13 different types of industries are under construction for operation in the industrial estate. He added that most of the industries under construction are in the final stages of completion.

The industrial estate, established on Mangsir 20, B.S. 2020, with financial assistance from the US government, currently has 147 industries and establishments leasing land and operating businesses.

Among the total area of 3,228 Ropanis, major industries currently operating include food industries, United Breweries (beverages), Gorkha Brewery Company, Asian Paints, animal feed industries, and cartoon industries.

Furthermore, Information Officer Nepal stated that government-owned Hetauda Milk Distribution Project, Provincial Food and Quality Control Office, Provincial Seed Company, Provincial Soil Testing Office, Area Police Office, and Nepal Bank Limited Hetauda Branch, among others, are operating within the industrial estate premises.

Of the total land area, 2,178 Ropanis are currently leased out, 26.52 Ropanis are vacant land, and 597 Ropanis are occupied by utility services such as road networks, electrification, and drainage system construction. Within the industrial estate, the office has constructed 10 industrial buildings, 11 warehouses, and 34 other buildings.
