Man's Body Found Buried in Pit in Nuwakot, Two Arrested

Nuwakot. The body of a man, murdered and hidden in a pit, has been recovered in Siureni, Belkotgadhi Municipality-9, Nuwakot. District Police Office Deputy Superintendent of Police Vikram Lama informed that the body of 44-year-old local resident Shantabahadur Tamang was recovered today, hidden after being murdered. Two local individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Police have not disclosed the identities of the arrested individuals. Preliminary investigation revealed that the three individuals were consuming intoxicants together on Wednesday night, and Tamang was murdered following a dispute during that time, according to the police.

The deceased Tamang's clothes were found bloodstained in a nearby river close to his home. The body has been sent to Trishuli Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Vikram Lama stated that both arrested individuals have been brought from Baghkhore Police Post to the District Police Office, and investigation will commence after obtaining a remand order from the Nuwakot District Court on Friday.
