Nepali Congress Rules Out Pre-Election Alliances, Focuses Solely on Upcoming Polls

The Nepali Congress has made it clear that it will not form any alliances with other parties before the elections. Speaking at a press conference organized by the Nepali Congress Central Publicity Committee, party spokesperson Devraj Chalise informed that the Nepali Congress is entering the electoral arena alone and its candidates remain fixed in all 165 constituencies. He stated that the Nepali Congress is fully focused on the electoral process. He mentioned that the Congress has made no comment on rumors circulating regarding issues such as the restoration of parliament. He opined that such attempts are being made to divert attention from the elections. He reiterated that there will be no alliances of any kind during the election period and that the Congress will contest the elections on its own strength. He urged the government to ensure that citizens and political parties have the right to vote and campaign in an independent, impartial, fearless, and secure environment. He stated, 'We are completely moving into the electoral system. We believe in elections. The party has dedicated all its strength to the elections. In the meantime, we have no comment on any attempts to divert attention through various meetings or court matters. We will not have any kind of alliance with anyone before the election. The Nepali Congress has its candidates fixed in 165 constituencies. We are engaged in campaigning. We are moving towards victory.'
