Actress Rhea Chakraborty Returns to Acting After Long Hiatus Following Sushant Singh Rajput's Death

Mumbai. Actress Rhea Chakraborty, who stayed away from the film industry for a long time after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has finally returned to acting. On Tuesday, while participating in the 'Next on Netflix' event organized in Mumbai, she formally announced her new series 'Family Business'.

In this series, Rhea will share the screen with Bollywood veteran actors Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma. Sharing the teaser of the series on her Instagram, Rhea mentioned that the lines between family and business blur in the old game of money and power.

Fans appear very excited about her comeback. Supporters on social media congratulated her, reacting that this return after a long time is justified. Many expressed happiness, saying they are eager to see her on screen again.

Following the death of Sushant Singh Rajput in 2020, Rhea was under immense legal and mental pressure. In September of the same year, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) took her into custody after drug-related chats were made public.

Although she was released on bail a month later, she had to surrender her passport. Recently, the Bombay High Court ruled in her favor, returning her passport after five years, which has paved the way for her to advance her career.
