All-Party Meeting Held in Rasuwa Ahead of House of Representatives Election

Raswa. An all-party meeting was held here in the context of conducting the House of Representatives election in a fear-free, impartial, and peaceful manner.

Representatives from various political parties, candidates, journalists, local administrators, and heads of security agencies were present at the meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Election Officer Dhruv Kumar Upreti.

At the meeting, all participants expressed their commitment to fully adhere to the Election Code of Conduct 2082 issued by the Election Commission, inform the Chief Election Officer's Office, the District Administration Office, and security agencies when organizing election-related gatherings and programs, and cooperate from their respective areas to make the election successful.

Nine political parties and three independent candidates are contesting the election in Rasuwa. The candidates include Mohan Acharya from Nepali Congress, Madhav Prasad Lamichhane from CPN (Maoist Centre), Prem Tamang from CPN-UML, Basanta Bhatta from Rastriya Swatantra Party, Man Bahadur Tamang from Ujyalo Nepal, Binod Thing from Mongol National Organization, Hari Prasad Ghimire from RPP, Hom Prasad Acharya from CPN (Maoist Centre), and Dawa Tamang representing Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party.

Similarly, Chitrakumari Devkota, Dawa Tamang, and Sagar Lama are the independent candidates.
