President Ramchandra Paudel Returns Home After Concluding Official Visit to Japan

Kathmandu. President Ramchandra Paudel returned home today after concluding his official visit to Japan.

He was welcomed at the VIP lounge of Tribhuvan International Airport on Wednesday by Vice President Ram Sahayaprasad Yadav, Prime Minister Sushil Karki, ministers, and heads of security agencies.

On that occasion, the Nepali Army offered him a guard of honor. At the invitation of the Japanese government, President Paudel, leading a Nepali delegation including the First Lady Sabita Paudel, had departed on Sunday night to participate in a special ceremony held in Japan to mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Japan.

During his visit to Japan, President Paudel participated in the special reception ceremony organized by the Japanese government in Tokyo to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Nepal-Japan diplomatic relations. He addressed the ceremony.

Furthermore, at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, President Paudel held a courtesy meeting with Emperor Naruhito of Japan. He was also paid courtesy calls by Japanese Prime Minister Ms. Taikachi Sanae and Japanese State Minister for Foreign Affairs Horii Iwao.

During the visit, he also addressed programs for the Japanese business community and the Nepali community residing there. He also observed the Nepali Embassy in Japan.

Diplomatic relations between Nepal and Japan were established on September 1, 1956. Following the establishment of diplomatic relations, Nepal established its embassy in Tokyo in 1965, and Japan established its embassy in Kathmandu in 1967.
