Severe Cooking Gas Shortage Grips Market, Consumers Face Hardship

Kathmandu. A shortage of cooking gas has been observed in the market for two weeks. Currently, a severe shortage of Nepal Gas, in particular, is evident in the market. This has caused distress among consumers. Consumers are facing a sharp shortage of gas because the supply from India has not reached Nepal on time.

As Nepal Gas sales centers have not had gas for two weeks, hundreds of consumers carrying empty cylinders are visiting the Nepal Gas office located in the Balaju Industrial Center daily. Consumers complain that they are not getting Nepal Gas even after reaching the office.

At the office, where gas distribution is done only from morning until 2 PM, hundreds of consumers line up daily now.

While consumers are complaining about not getting gas, Nepal Gas Company states that the problem persists due to transportation issues.
