School Bus and Tractor Collision in Rupandehi Injures 21 Students

Rupandehi. Twenty-one students were injured when a school bus and a tractor collided in Omsatiya, Rupandehi, on Tuesday morning. The students injured in the accident, which occurred when the bus collided with a tractor loaded with paddy, were studying in classes 11 and 12 at Shanti Namuna Secondary School in Manigram.

The District Traffic Police Office, Rupandehi, stated that the school bus with license plate Lu 1 Kha 8675, traveling from Nawalparasi towards Bhairahawa, collided with the tractor with license plate Lu 3 Ta 3530 at Basantapur in Omsatiya Rural Municipality-4. Police reported that most of the students injured in this accident, where the bus carrying students collided with a tractor coming from the opposite direction, are in stable condition.

Among those injured, 13 are undergoing treatment at Universal Medical College in Bhairahawa, while 4 are being treated at Bhim Hospital. The other 4 injured individuals have been discharged and returned home after receiving minor treatment. Police have taken both the bus and tractor drivers involved in the incident into custody.
