Shots Fired at Bollywood Director Rohit Shetty's Mumbai Residence; Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Claims Responsibility

Mumbai. At least five rounds of gunfire were discharged late Saturday night outside the residence of famous film director Rohit Shetty in Juhu, Mumbai. The attack occurred around 12:45 AM on the first floor of the nine-story building by assailants.

Police stated that one of the fired bullets hit the glass of the gym located inside the building. Following the incident, Pune police, who became active immediately, detained four individuals on Sunday on suspicion of involvement in this case.

The notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for this attack. The gang claimed responsibility for the incident through a post made public from an account named 'Shubham Lonkar Aarju Bishnoi' on the social media platform Facebook.

The post warned that this was only a 'small trailer.' The post read, 'Next time, we will not shoot outside the house, but enter his bedroom and shoot him in the chest.' They claim Shetty was targeted because he interfered with their work despite repeated prior messages.

Bishnoi Gang's Open Warning to Bollywood and Tightened Security: The Bishnoi gang has issued a warning not just to Rohit Shetty but to the entire Bollywood industry. They threatened to make his condition worse than that of Nationalist Congress Party leader Baba Siddiqui if he does not mend his ways in time.

Shubham Lonkar is one of the main conspirators in the Baba Siddiqui murder case. Following this incident, the security arrangement around Rohit Shetty's house in the Juhu area has been extremely tightened, and additional security forces have been deployed.

Previously, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had already fired shots three times at comedian Kapil Sharma's cafe in Canada. The continuous targeting of Bollywood celebrities with threats and attacks has created an atmosphere of fear in Mumbai.

Police are currently proceeding with further investigation based on the technical aspects of the social media post and the statements of the detained individuals.
