Western Winds Bring Partial Cloud Cover Across Nepal, Light Snow Possible in High Mountains

Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that Nepal is currently under the partial influence of the Western Disturbance. Due to this influence, fog has enveloped a few areas in Koshi Province and Madhesh Province. Partial cloud cover is present in the hilly and Himalayan regions across the country, including Koshi Province.

This afternoon, fog and mist will persist in some parts of the Terai region. There will be partial cloud cover across the entire country. There is a possibility of light snowfall accompanied by rain in one or two locations in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Gandaki Province.

Fog will remain in some parts of the Terai region today. Generally cloudy skies will prevail in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of the country, while the remaining areas will experience partial cloudiness. 

The Department has indicated a possibility of light snowfall accompanied by rain in one or two locations in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki Provinces.
