Supreme Court to Hear Resham Lal Chaudhary's Plea Against Election Commission's Candidacy Rejection

Kathmandu. The hearing for the writ filed by Resham Lal Chaudhary, patron of the Nagarik Unmukti Party Nepal, challenging the Election Commission's decision to reject his candidacy registered from Kailali Constituency No. 1, has been scheduled.

Chaudhary's writ is scheduled for hearing on Thursday in the joint bench of Justices Balkrishna Dhakal and Nripadhwaj Niraula at the Supreme Court.

Previously, a single bench of Justice Balkrishna Dhakal had ordered the Election Commission to submit a written response to the writ and summoned both parties to appear for a discussion regarding an interim order.

Chaudhary's candidacy was registered for the House of Representatives election scheduled for the upcoming Falgun 21.
