Police Shoot Suspected Robber in Kathmandu During Arrest Operation

Kathmandu. Police opened fire on a group of robbers in Mulpani, Kathmandu. A team from the Kathmandu District Police Range fired the shots while attempting to apprehend the robbers late last night.

One leader of the robbery group was injured after being shot. He has been admitted to the Trauma Center for treatment. SP Ramesh Thapa of the Kathmandu District Police told Ratopati that the police fired to bring them under control after the robbers attempted to attack security personnel while being apprehended. 

Police fired two rounds. Police have arrested 10 individuals who were creating a reign of terror through looting across the valley. Two police officers were injured during the process of taking them into custody.

The accused were creating terror through robberies in Gaushala, Swayambhu, Boudha, and Bhaktapur. Police have not yet disclosed the names of the arrested robbers.
