Two Arrested in Lalitpur for Allegedly Stealing Motorcycles from Bhaktapur

Kathmandu. Police have arrested two individuals who were transporting motorcycles stolen from Bhaktapur towards Makwanpur. The District Police Range, Lalitpur, reported that the two were apprehended in Bhattedanda, Lalitpur.

The arrested individuals have been identified as 25-year-old Brijan Tamang, a resident of Bhaisepati originally from Bakaiya Rural Municipality-7, Makwanpur, and 23-year-old Unik Tamang, a resident of Sudal, Bhaktapur.

On Sunday, a team deployed from the Jagumaya Police Post in Bhattedanda attempted to check the duo, but they fled without stopping. An officer from the District Police Range, Lalitpur, told Ratopati that they were chased and brought under control.

Police have recovered the motorcycles bearing registration numbers Bagmati Province-02-044 P 6912 and Ba.36 P 7908 from the suspects. Preliminary investigation suggests they stole the motorcycles from Bhaktapur. Lalitpur Police have handed them over to the Jagati Police Circle for further investigation.
