Two Arrested in Lalitpur for Displaying Replica Firearms

Two individuals have been arrested in Lalitpur for moving around while displaying a Three-Not-Three rifle and pistols. SSP Hobindra Bogati of the Lalitpur District Police Complex told Ratopati that the suspects were apprehended after being followed upon being seen riding a motorcycle carrying a rifle.

Those arrested include 28-year-old Kiran Ghimire, a resident of Suvidhanagar, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32, and another juvenile. The juvenile, who is preparing for the SEE examination, was riding pillion on the motorcycle.

Police recovered a weapon resembling a Three-Not-Three rifle, two pistols, and three khukuris from the suspects. Preliminary investigation suggests the recovered weapons are fake.

Traffic police informed the Satdobato Police Circle after observing them displaying weapons on a motorcycle on the main road at Satdobato. Based on CCTV footage, the police arrested them from Suvidhanagar and are currently investigating.

SSP Bogati informed that they were taken into custody around 1 AM on Sunday. The Satdobato Police Circle is investigating the suspects.
