Gagan Thapa Assumes Office as Nepali Congress President Following Special General Convention

Gagan Thapa, who was elected as the President of the Nepali Congress from the special general convention, has reached the party office in Sanepa.

He arrived at the central office in Sanepa to assume office eight days after being elected President in the special general convention. 

After he and the office bearers elected from the special general convention take charge, a meeting of the Central Working Committee has also been scheduled.  

A 135-member Central Working Committee was elected under Thapa's leadership from the special general convention held from Poush 27 to 30.
