National Assembly Convenes with Agenda Including Cabinet Updates and Obituary References

Kathmandu. The National Assembly, under the federal parliament, convened today. The session started at 1:15 PM in Singh Durbar.

The agenda for the meeting includes Chairman Narayan Dahal informing the assembly about the letters received from the President's Office concerning cabinet formation and assignment of responsibilities, reading out notices of vacancies for National Assembly members, and making information available regarding these vacancies.

Furthermore, the agenda lists Kamala Pant, Chairperson of the Development, Economic Affairs and Public Policy Committee, presenting the study report on the National Integrity Policy, 2082, to the assembly. Tulsa Kumari Dahal, Chairperson of the Legislation Management Committee, is scheduled to present the committee's report on the Tourism Bill, 2081, to the assembly.

Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal is slated to present various ordinances to the assembly. The Chairman is also scheduled to present a condolence motion on the demise of former Minister and former member of the House of Representatives Rishikesh Gautam, former Minister, Constituent Assembly member, and former member of the House of Representatives Mohammed Aftab Alam, former National Assembly member Krishnakumari Shrestha, former Minister, former member of the House of Representatives and National Assembly member Amod Prasad Upadhyaya, and former Minister and former member of the House of Representatives Homnath Dahal.
