Prime Minister Karki Meets Dr. Ruit in Tilganga

Prime Minister Sushila Karki has held discussions with senior eye specialist Dr. Sanduk Ruit. The Prime Minister visited the Tilganga Eye Institute on Tuesday to meet with Dr. Ruit. The main topic of their conversation was a request from Prime Minister Karki for Dr. Ruit to join her government.

The Government's Request and Dr. Ruit's Response

Prime Minister Karki explained that she had to lead the government under special circumstances and asked for Dr. Ruit's support by becoming a part of it. In response, Dr. Ruit is understood to have said that while he supports the government, he is unable to participate in it directly by taking a formal position.

Dr. Ruit's Commitment to His Medical Work

Following the discussion, Dr. Ruit stated that he cannot leave his work at the hospital and his patients. Even though there had been public talk about him becoming a minister in the interim government formed after the Janjati movement, Dr. Ruit has consistently said that he prefers to remain dedicated to serving citizens through his medical profession.
