Long Lines at Petrol Pumps as Curfew Lifts
As the curfew and restrictions in Kathmandu Valley were lifted, long lines of people formed at petrol pumps. These individuals had come out for essential work as soon as the rules were relaxed. The crowds and congestion at the pumps increased starting Friday morning because of the large number of vehicles.
Crowds at Various Locations
Drivers were lined up to get fuel at petrol pumps located in several areas. These areas included Balaju, Samakhusi, New Baneshwor, Sorhakhutte, Banasthali, Lokanthali, and Jadibuti.
Some Pumps Remain Closed
Although some petrol pumps across the valley were open, others remained closed. This situation caused the number of vehicles coming to get fuel at the open pumps to increase even more.
