Gongbu Incident: Gold jewelery recovered from house worth Rs 4 crore

Kathmandu. The police have recovered gold jewelery from a house where around 40 million was found in Town Planning located at 26 Gongbu, Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

An officer involved in the investigation told Ratopati that jewelery was also recovered from the house of Vinod Shrestha of Gorkha. He said, ‘Gold jewelry has also been found in large quantity.’

Investigating officers assigned from Valley Police Office, District Police Kathmandu and Police Division Bus Park are ascertaining the amount and weight of jewelry. He said, ‘We are determining the amount by getting a calculating machine.’

Police are also weighing gold ornaments. 76-year-old Vinod Shrestha was living in that house. The police said that he has been arrested.
