PM Oli Holds Bilateral Talks with Turkmenistan President

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli met with Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedow in Ashgabat on Wednesday for bilateral discussions. The meeting focused on strengthening Nepal-Turkmenistan relations, regional cooperation, and matters of mutual interest, according to the Prime Minister's Secretariat.

Addressing Landlocked Nations' Challenges

Earlier, PM Oli addressed the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs), emphasizing the need for trade facilitation and regional collaboration. He also co-chaired a roundtable discussion on trade and commerce during the conference.

Transformation of Landlocked Countries

Speaking at a side event of the conference, PM Oli stressed that transforming landlocked nations is not optional but essential. He highlighted the urgency of infrastructure development and regional partnerships to overcome geographical constraints.

Recent Diplomatic Engagements

On Tuesday, PM Oli held talks with Kyrgyzstan's Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Akylbek Japarov, as part of his official visit to Turkmenistan that began on August 2.
