Prabhu Helicopter Enters 10th Year, Prepares for IPO Launch

Kathmandu – Prabhu Helicopter Limited has marked its 10th anniversary of operations, celebrating a decade of providing safe and reliable air transport services across Nepal’s challenging terrain. The company, originally established as Muktinath Helicopter before being acquired by Prabhu Group in 2072 BS (2015 AD), has grown into a key player in Nepal’s aviation sector.

A Decade of Aviation Excellence

Prabhu Helicopter Chairman Subash Amatya expressed gratitude for the support received over the past ten years and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality services. “We have remained dedicated to providing safe, dependable, and efficient air transport in Nepal’s diverse and difficult geography,” Amatya stated. “We look forward to continuing to earn the trust of our passengers and clients in the years ahead.”

Expanding Services and Fleet

The company, which began operations with a single Robinson helicopter, now operates two Airbus H125 helicopters, offering:

  • Tourist flights to Pokhara, Kathmandu, Langtang, Muktinath, Gosainkunda, Kalinchowk Bhagwati, and Lumbini

  • Mountain flights to Everest, Annapurna, and Machhapuchhre base camps

  • Emergency rescue and cargo transport services

Transition to a Public Company

Originally registered as a private limited company under the Company Act, 2063 BS, Prabhu Helicopter converted to a public limited company on Ashad 30, 2079 BS (July 14, 2022). The company holds Air Operator Certificate (AOC) No. 081/213-1 issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) and maintains its own hangar facility in Pokhara.

IPO Plans Underway

Prabhu Helicopter is preparing to issue an Initial Public Offering (IPO), appointing Muktinath Capital as the sales manager for the share issuance. This move marks a significant step in the company’s growth strategy as it enters its second decade of operations.
