Nepal-China Relations Must Be Strengthened Across Generations: PM Oli
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has emphasized the need to strengthen and expand Nepal-China relations across generations, speaking at the Nepal-China Cultural Summit 2025 marking the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations. Organized by Phoenix Inspiration, the event highlighted the deep historical and cultural connections between the countries, with PM Oli stressing that their relationship transcends mere transactions, being rooted in mutual sentiments and cultural diversity.
He reaffirmed Nepal's unwavering commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation, stating that the government would spare no effort in deepening this friendship through sincere and comprehensive collaboration. During the summit, PM Oli honored several individuals for their contributions to Nepal-China relations, including Kathmandu Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol with the Youth Empowerment Award, business leaders Rajeshkaji Shrestha and Virendraraj Pandey with the Business Leadership Award, and educator Anuradha Sharma with the Education Excellence Award. The Prime Minister's address underscored the importance of multidimensional engagement between Nepal and China, covering cultural, economic and people-to-people exchanges, as both nations celebrate seven decades of diplomatic relations and look forward to an even stronger partnership in the years to come.
