Jeep Accident in Rukum West Leaves Seven Injured

Rukum West – A jeep accident occurred in Triveni Rural Municipality-2, near Simrutu Bazar, along the inner road section this morning. The vehicle, bearing license plate number Lu 1 J 4112, was en route from Badarpani, Rugha to Khalanga when it lost control and overturned.

Details of the Injured

According to Rukum West District Police Office spokesperson Inspector Rishi Pathak, seven individuals sustained injuries in the crash. The injured include:

  • Prem Khadka, 32 (driver, Triveni-2, Simrutu)

  • Sase Gharti, 84 (Triveni-1)

  • Sarita KC, 20 (Triveni)

  • Sunita KC, 28 (Triveni-2)

  • Geeta Oli, 22 (Triveni)

  • Sapana Pariyar, 40 (Musikot Municipality-13)

  • Shivkumari Sharma (Musikot-5)

All injured were rescued and transported to Salle District Hospital for treatment.

Condition of the Victims

Police reported that while some victims suffered minor injuries, others sustained moderate wounds, primarily to their heads, arms, and legs. The jeep was carrying 10 passengers, including the driver, at the time of the accident.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash, with initial reports suggesting loss of control as the primary factor.
