Maoist Center criticizes government for targeting NEA Chief Ghising

Kathmandu, March 5 — The CPN (Maoist Center) has demanded an explanation from the government regarding the repeated clarifications sought from Kulman Ghising, the Executive Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
During the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, Maoist Chief Whip Hitaraj Pandey criticized the government's actions towards Ghising, stating that such treatment was inappropriate and called for a ruling.
Pandey asked, “Why is Kulman Ghising being asked for continuous clarification and given zero marks for his performance? He has done good work, bringing the electricity authority into profit. What is this about?”
Today’s meeting is expected to present five ordinances for approval.
The government is set to present five ordinances out of six proposed on January 31, with the land ordinance being kept aside.
