NEPSE declines by 13.62 points on Sunday

Kathmandu, March 3 — The stock market has seen a decline, with the market index dropping by 13.62 points on Sunday, reaching 2,876.66 points.

A total of 14.28 billion rupees worth of shares were traded today. 

While the prices of shares in 51 companies increased, 187 companies saw a decline, and 6 companies' share prices remained stable.

Shares in life insurance, production and processing industries, mutual funds, non-life insurance, and other sectors increased, while other sectors saw a decline.

The hotel and tourism sector experienced the largest drop of 1.88%, whereas the "other" sector saw the highest increase of 1.86%.

Today, Guardian Micro Life's share price saw a positive circuit breaker, while the share price of Samaj Microfinance faced a negative circuit breaker.

Nepal Reinsurance Company recorded the highest trading value of 138 million rupees today.

Based on both the number of transactions and trading value, this company was the leader in the market.

Previously, the market had been on a continuous upward trend for 10 days, with the index increasing by 212 points.

However, today there was a slight correction, though trading volumes increased.
