Three killed in separate road accidents in different districts

Kathmandu, February 23 — Three people have died in separate road accidents in different districts.
The accidents occurred in Jhapa, Siraha, and Nawalpur, resulting in the deaths of three individuals.
In the first incident, a 75-year-old pedestrian, Indra Maya Karki, was struck by a motorcycle with the registration number Me 9 Pa 7482, traveling from Shanishchare to Jaipur, at Khatiwada Chowk in Buddhashanti Rural Municipality-2 of Jhapa.
The accident took place on Saturday afternoon.
Karki, who suffered severe injuries, later died at the B&C Hospital in Birtamod.
Additionally, a cyclist who was hit by the same motorcycle is currently being treated at City Hospital in Budhabare.
The motorcycle rider has been taken into police custody.
In the second incident, a tipper truck with the registration number NAa1 Ka 9129 crashed in Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-3, Harbalechok in Nawalpur on Saturday afternoon.
The driver, 32-year-old Nar Bahadur Waiba from Bagmati Rural Municipality-6 of Makwanpur, died at the scene of the accident.
In the third incident, a pickup truck with the registration number Pr 3-01-022 Cha 8764 collided with a stationary tipper (Pr 2-01-001 Kha 0036) in Mirchaiya Municipality-7 of Siraha.
The crash resulted in the death of the pickup's helper, 27-year-old Milan Sunar from Dudhauli Municipality-14 of Sindhuli.
The accident occurred on Sunday morning, and Sunar succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at Manokamana Hospital in Mirchaiya.
The pickup driver was seriously injured and has been sent to Biratnagar for further treatment.
The police are still searching for the tipper driver who fled the scene, and investigations into all three accidents are underway.
