Sumana Shrestha remains silent during zero hour in Parliament

Kathmandu, February 18 — During the Zero Hour session in the House of Representatives on Tuesday, Speaker Devraj Ghimire called upon Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) MP Sumana Shrestha to speak, but she did not respond.

Speaker Ghimire first invited Shrestha to speak, but after receiving no response, he called her a second time.

When she still did not speak, he called her for the third time.

Still, there was no response, and Speaker Ghimire proceeded to give the floor to another MP, Suhang Nembang.

Earlier, on Monday, Shrestha had sought to raise the issue of the death of Nepali student Prakriti Lamsal at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India.

However, Speaker Ghimire did not allow her to speak on that matter.
