Rabi Lamichhane appears before Kathmandu District Court

Kathmandu, February 18 — Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane appeared at the Kathmandu District Court today.

He is facing legal proceedings in connection with a cooperative fraud case.

This is his first court appearance for the case since being released on bail.

The court had previously granted Lamichhane bail with a bond of NPR 6 million, as ordered by Judge Madhav Prasad Adhikari.

The case involves a joint claim for NPR 50.8 million against Lamichhane and G.B. Rai for alleged financial misconduct in the Swarnalakshmi Cooperative.

While the court has issued an order for his release on bail, the hearing is still ongoing as the investigation continues.
