PM Oli alleges corruption in Jajarkot earthquake compensation

Kathmandu, February 16 — Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has raised concerns about corruption related to the distribution of funds for those affected by the Jajarkot earthquake.
He questioned how 48,000 households received the first installment of compensation in an area with only 39,000 houses.
During a question-and-answer session with lawmakers, he stated, "In an area with 37,000 houses, how did 48,000 households receive the first installment? Where did those extra houses come from? How was compensation distributed for 48,000 houses when only 37,000 were damaged?"
