Narayan Kaji Shrestha acknowledges factionalism within Maoist Center

Chitwan, February 14 — Senior Vice-Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center), Narayan Kaji Shrestha, has acknowledged the presence of factionalism and individualism within the party.

Speaking at a press interaction organized by the Press Center Nepal in Chitwan on Friday, Shrestha accepted the issues of factionalism and individualism in the party and stated that these would be resolved through a transformation campaign.

He mentioned that the internal problems of the party have not yet been fully resolved. Shrestha emphasized that the ongoing campaign led by Chairman Prachanda would continue without any setbacks, and he expressed his intention to advance the party’s transformation and reorganization under Prachanda's leadership in a united manner.

He also stated that the Maoist party would strengthen itself to drive the country's economic prosperity and development forward.

Shrestha remarked that the government's activities were well-known to all and mentioned that he would refrain from making unnecessary comments about the government.

He praised Renu Dahal, the Mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, for the revolutionary development taking place in Bharatpur.
