Gold prices surge by NPR 1,900 per tola

Kathmandu, February 4 — The price of gold surged significantly in the Nepali market on Tuesday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of gold, which had remained stable for four days, increased by NPR 1,900 per tola on Tuesday.

With the price hike, the price of hallmarked gold reached NPR 164,700 per tola. Previously, from Friday to Monday, the price had been NPR 162,800 per tola.

The Federation also reported an increase in the price of silver. The price of silver, which was NPR 1,895 per tola on Monday, rose to NPR 1,930 per tola on Tuesday, marking an increase of NPR 35 per tola.
