NEPSE index drops by 5.60 points

Kathmandu, December 18 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by 5.60 points on Wednesday.

The market opened at 2634 points and, after 20 minutes, it rose to a high of 2456 points.

However, after fluctuations, the index settled at 2628 points by the close of trading.

Despite the overall market decline, 81 companies saw an increase in their share prices on Wednesday.

Shares of Support Microfinance and Upakar Microfinance Financial Institutions hit the positive circuit limit.

Additionally, the share prices of Manushi Microfinance and Sikles Hydropower increased by 8%.

On the other hand, 149 companies saw a decline in their share prices.

The price of Kutheli Bukhari fell by nearly 10%, while Dolti Power Company’s price decreased by 5.33%.

In terms of trading volume, Janaki Finance topped the list, with a transaction amount of NPR 15.59 million.

Overall, the market saw a total trading volume of NPR 4.27 billion 82 thousand.
