Manakamana Cable Car Service to close for two days

Muglin (Chitwan), December 15 — Manakamana Cable Car Service is suspending its services for two days.

Deputy Manager of Manakamana Darshan Pvt Ltd, Ujjwal Sherchan said the service is to be closed on December 16 and 17 for repair and maintenance work.

He said that the cable car service will be shut for the two days for repair and maintenance of the towers and it will be resumed from Wednesday.

According to him, restaurant service at the 'bottom station' would however be opened in this period.

The cable car service was operated on November 24, 1998 for facilitating the people visiting the famous Manakamana Temple at Sahid Lakhan rural municipality of Gorkha district.

The bottom station of the Cable Car Service is located at Cheres, Ichhakamana rural municipality-4 in Chitwan.
