COAS Sigdel visits Indian Military Academy in Dehradun
Kathmandu, December 14 — Chief of Army Staff, Ashok Raj Sigdel, who is on an official visit to India, visited the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun, India, on Saturday.
Chief of Army Staff Sigdel participated as the chief guest in the final passing-out parade of officer cadets at the academy.
On this occasion, he observed and inspected the final passing-out parade performed by the officer cadets.
The Nepal Army informed that during the event, he also presented commission badges to the newly appointed officers and interacted with them.
Since 1953, the Nepal Army has been sending its officer cadets for training at the academy.
So far, more than 200 officer cadets from the Nepal Army have been commissioned from this academy.
Currently, six Nepal Army officer cadets are undergoing training at the academy, along with officer cadets from twelve other countries.
