Legislative Management Committee to Hold Orientation Program Within Singh Durbar

Kathmandu. The Legislative Management Committee under the Federal Parliament has decided to conduct its orientation program for its members within Singh Durbar.

In the meeting held on Friday, Chairman Krishna Bahadur Rokaya informed that considering the lack of financial resources and for frugality, the halls within the parliament will be used instead of going outside.

In the meeting, some members had suggested holding the program outside Singh Durbar with the objective of refreshing and discussing in a new environment. The committee has recently formed two sub-committees. These include the Law Measurement and Inter-Legislative Relations Sub-Committee.

Chairman Rokaya stated that the main objective of this program is to clarify the scope of work to the members of these sub-committees and to provide information about the need, basis, and process of law measurement from experts.

According to Chairman Rokaya, the committee has also clarified the issue of remuneration to be provided to the experts. Stating that according to the current standards, only five thousand rupees per session can be provided to experts, Rokaya said, 'It is not possible to conduct programs outside due to the lack of a separate budget.'
