Prachanda Calls for Common Minimum Program to Counter Counter-Revolution

Kathmandu. CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has stated that a common minimum program should be formulated to counter the ongoing process of counter-revolution, as it has not yet been completed.

Speaking at a discussion program on 'The Role of Leftists in the Current Political Situation' organized by Pushpalal Friendship Center in Kathmandu on Friday, on the occasion of the 48th Pushpalal Smriti Diwas, Prachanda said so.

Prachanda also mentioned that if such a program is prepared and 5-7 lakh people are mobilized in Kathmandu and 1-1.5 lakh people in each district, the movement could be successful in a single day.

'We all need to think in that direction, otherwise, we will be ruined,' Prachanda said, adding, 'If we get involved in the game of forming a government as before, we may be crushed in such a way that we cannot rise again in the next counter-revolution.'

He stated that it is currently necessary to move forward by creating a common program for the protection of national independence, the constitution, and the republic, and that there is no need to worry about party unification at present.

'If we start trying to form a single party now, quarrels will start among us,' he said, 'There is no need to regret later after unifying the party without review, but cooperation is possible today.'
