High-Level Chinese delegations to visit Nepal following BRI agreement
Kathmandu, December 12 — Following the agreement on China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), Nepal has seen an influx of high-level visits from China.
Government representatives and expert teams are arriving in Nepal as part of discussions on how to advance various BRI projects.
Two significant Chinese delegations are set to arrive in Nepal today.
According to sources, a team led by Wang Yu Cheng, Deputy Minister of the Hainan Provincial United Front Work Department of the Communist Party of China, is already in Nepal.
Meanwhile, another delegation, led by Zhang Xiaohui, Deputy Director of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission of Guangdong Province, will arrive in Nepal via Bangkok.
Zhang is also the Director of the Religious Affairs Bureau of the Hainan Provincial Government.
The Chinese officials are in Nepal to participate in the Nanhai Buddhism Round Table, which will take place from today until Sunday.
