NEPSE index climbs by 45.88 points, closes at 2715.81
Kathmandu, December 11 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 45.88 points on the fourth day of the week, Wednesday.
The stock market, which had remained stable throughout the day, surged in the final moments, with the NEPSE index rising by 1.71%, reaching 2715.81 points.
On Wednesday, the total trading volume was NPR 5.05 billion.
The stock prices of 211 companies increased, while 29 companies saw a decline, and 3 companies’ stock prices remained unchanged.
Despite the positive growth in the index, no company’s share price hit the positive circuit limit on Wednesday.
The highest gains were seen in Nyadi Hydropower, which rose by 9.97%, and Kutheli Bhukari Small Hydropower, which increased by 9.62%.
Meanwhile, Khanikhola Hydropower saw the largest decline of 9.99%.
On Wednesday, a total of 1.13 million shares were traded, with 308 scripts being traded 56,350 times, according to NEPSE.
All sub-indices, except for mutual funds, saw an increase. The banking sector saw the biggest rise, increasing by 3.43 points.
On Wednesday, Janaki Finance recorded the highest trading volume, with transactions worth over NPR 36 crore across 1,299 trades.
Based on the number of shares traded, RBB Mutual Fund was at the top.
