RSP President Lamichhane's detention period extended by 4 days
Kathmandu, December 8 — The President of Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane, who is currently in police custody for investigation on charges of cooperative fraud, has had his detention period extended by 4 days.
The Kaski District Court granted the police an additional 4-day remand for further investigation on Sunday.
The police had requested to extend Lamichhane's detention for another 13 days. Lamichhane was arrested in Kathmandu on October 18.
Since then, his detention period has been repeatedly extended. Warrants for his arrest have been issued in Chitwan, Butwal, Kathmandu, and Parsa.
