NEPSE index drops by 10 points

Kathmandu, December 1 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index decreased by 10 points on Sunday.

Following significant market fluctuations, the index settled at 2738 points. The total value of shares bought and sold today amounted to 8.83 billion rupees.

Despite the market's decline, the share prices of five companies experienced a positive circuit breaker, meaning their values rose by 10%.

These companies were Bishal Bazar Company, Corporate Development Bank, Sindhu Development Bank, Green Development Bank, and Saptakoshi Development Bank. Today, the development bank group index rose by 4.52%.

A total of 63 companies saw an increase in their share prices, while 178 companies saw their prices drop, and 3 companies maintained a stable share price.

In terms of trading volume, Excel Development Bank topped the list with the highest transaction value, amounting to 343.14 million rupees.
